1. Our Approach
Coin Français understands that schedules change and unexpected situations happen. This policy is designed to make cancellations and rescheduling straightforward while also protecting time reserved specifically for each student.
2. Cancelling 24 Hours or More Before a Lesson
If you cancel a scheduled lesson at least 24 hours before its scheduled start time, the lesson credit will be returned to your available balance.
You may keep the credit for later or use it to book another available lesson.
Coin Français lesson credits do not expire.
3. Cancelling Less Than 24 Hours Before a Lesson
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the scheduled lesson, the lesson will normally be considered used.
However, you may request an exception. Unexpected situations such as illness, a family emergency, a school or work conflict, or a significant technical problem may be considered.
You may provide a brief reason for the request. Unnecessary private or medical details are not required.
Exception requests are reviewed individually and are not guaranteed. If an exception is approved, Coin Français may restore the lesson credit or arrange a make-up lesson.
4. Rescheduling
A lesson may normally be rescheduled without penalty when the change is requested at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson.
When possible, you will simply choose another available lesson time and your existing lesson will be moved to the new time.
A request to reschedule less than 24 hours before the lesson is treated in the same manner as a late cancellation. The original lesson will normally be considered used, but you may request an exception.
5. Missed Lessons and No-Shows
If you do not attend a scheduled lesson and did not cancel beforehand, the lesson will normally be considered used.
You may still request an exception after a missed lesson. Depending on the circumstances, Coin Français may restore the lesson credit or arrange a make-up lesson.
No-show exceptions are considered individually and are not guaranteed.
6. Late Arrival
If you arrive late, the lesson will normally still end at the originally scheduled ending time and will count as the scheduled lesson.
If an emergency or exceptional circumstance caused the delay, contact Coin Français. A different arrangement may be made when appropriate.
If the instructor is late, you will receive the full scheduled teaching time or equivalent make-up time will be arranged.
7. If Coin Français Cancels a Lesson
If Coin Français cancels your scheduled lesson, your lesson credit will automatically be restored.
You may keep that credit without an expiration date and use it to book another available lesson.
You may instead request a refund for the lesson cancelled by Coin Français. This option remains available for the affected lesson even when the original purchase was made more than 30 days earlier.
8. Cash Refunds for Unused Lesson Credits
You may request a cash refund for eligible unused lesson credits within 30 days of the original purchase.
After the 30-day refund period, unused lesson credits remain available for future lessons and do not expire, but they are not normally eligible for a cash refund.
The instructor-cancellation rule described above is an exception to the normal 30-day refund period.
9. Partially Used Discounted Packages
If you purchased a discounted multi-lesson package and used only part of it before requesting an eligible refund, completed lessons are valued at the normal individual-lesson price for that lesson type.
The refundable balance is calculated by subtracting the value of the completed lessons from the amount originally paid.
For example, if a four-lesson Regular package costs $220 and the normal individual Regular lesson price is $60, using one lesson leaves a refundable balance of $160 during the eligible refund period.
A refund will never exceed the amount originally paid.
10. How Refunds Are Issued
Eligible cash refunds are processed through Stripe and returned to the original payment method.
Refunds cannot be redirected to an unrelated card, bank account, cash recipient, or other payment destination.
After Coin Français submits a refund, the time required for the funds to appear is determined by Stripe, the payment method, and the customer's financial institution.
11. Lesson Credits Do Not Expire
Coin Français lesson credits have no expiration date.
If you are not ready to schedule another lesson, you may keep an eligible unused credit for future use.
12. Giving a Lesson Credit to Someone Else
Coin Français may allow an unused lesson credit to be transferred to another person using a redemption code or similar transfer process.
A transferred credit keeps its original lesson type. A Regular credit remains a Regular credit, and a Test Preparation credit remains a Test Preparation credit.
Once the transfer is completed or redeemed, the recipient receives lesson-credit value rather than cash value. The recipient cannot request a cash refund for the transferred credit.
The original purchaser's normal refund eligibility applies only while the purchaser still owns the unused credit and the original purchase remains within the applicable refund period.
13. Requesting an Exception
If a late cancellation, missed lesson, or other unexpected situation falls outside the normal policy, you may request an exception.
Please provide a short explanation of what happened. Coin Français will review the circumstances and may restore the lesson credit, arrange a make-up lesson, or decline the request.
Exceptions are intended to provide reasonable flexibility for genuine unexpected circumstances. Approval is discretionary and is not guaranteed.
14. Questions
If you are unsure whether a cancellation, rescheduling request, credit, or refund is eligible under this policy, please contact Coin Français before making another purchase.
Questions and requests may be submitted through the Coin Français contact form.
